1. What Kleus is (and isn't)

Kleus is an accountability and coaching tool. It helps you plan what to learn, checks in with you, and holds you to your own commitments. Kleus is not a school, a course provider, or a substitute for professional advice (including medical, legal, financial, or career advice), and it does not guarantee any particular learning result or outcome. What you achieve depends on you.

2. Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Kleus. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure, for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@kleus.ai if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Subscriptions & payment

• Kleus is a paid subscription. The fees are shown at checkout (currently Base £24 / month and Pro £48 / month), billed in GBP.
• Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically each period until you cancel. Payment is processed by Stripe.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• We may change our prices; any change applies to your next renewal, not the period you are already in.

4. Refunds & your right of withdrawal

Kleus is a digital service that begins immediately when you subscribe: we generate your plan and start the service right away. By subscribing you expressly request that we begin performance immediately and you acknowledge that you therefore lose your 14-day right of withdrawal under Romanian consumer law implementing Directive 2011/83/EU.

Accordingly, payments are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law. We may, at our sole discretion and as a gesture of goodwill, grant a refund in individual cases; doing so does not create any entitlement or obligation to do so again. This section does not affect any mandatory statutory rights you have that cannot be excluded.

5. Content and materials you submit

You keep ownership of the content you put into Kleus. You grant us the licence needed to process that content in order to provide the service (including sending it to the AI and messaging providers in our Privacy Policy).

You are solely responsible for everything you submit. You warrant that you have the right to submit any topic or material you give us and that doing so does not infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights, or break any law. Kleus does not host, copy, or redistribute third-party courses or copyrighted works; it coaches you on what you already have the right to study. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of content you submit or your breach of this section.

6. AI-generated content

Your plan and the coach's replies are produced by third-party AI providers (such as Google Gemini and xAI Grok), automatically and without human review. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. It is provided "as is", for guidance only, and you rely on it at your own risk. Kleus acts as an intermediary that passes your inputs to, and returns outputs from, those providers; we are not responsible for the content those providers generate, nor for their acts or omissions. Always apply your own judgement, and seek a qualified professional for anything that matters.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Kleus for any unlawful purpose or to infringe anyone's rights;
• submit unlawful, infringing, or harmful material;
• attempt to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• resell or misrepresent the service, or use it to abuse or harass others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

8. Availability & third-party services

Kleus is provided on an "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it. Kleus depends on third-party services: messaging channels (Telegram, WhatsApp), SMS (Twilio), AI providers, payments (Stripe), and hosting, whose availability is outside our control. We are not liable for interruptions, delays, or failures caused by those providers or by events beyond our reasonable control.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kleus is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Kleus does not warrant that using it will produce any particular learning outcome.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kleus will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your mandatory statutory consumer rights.

11. Termination

You may stop using Kleus and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or to protect the service or other users. On termination your right to use Kleus ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including content responsibility, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) continue to apply.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Kleus after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, and the courts of Romania (Brașov) have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
